What is an "open" archive?
When we set out to create the world's first open archive we had three priorities in mind: control, extensibility and flexibility.
- Control: SaaS archives offer one-size-fits-all security, hold your encryption keys and charge you to get your data in and out. That's not enough control.
- Extensibility: Other vendors store your data in a proprietary format in a data center you can't access. Archives have incredible insight in them but not if your analytics tools can't access the data.
- Flexibility: SaaS archives restrict search and download speeds. What if you have a big audit, case or investigation and you need to run many large searches concurrently? Traditional archives don't offer options.
