The Objective
“We have been using EAS for our email archives since 2007. HP announced that support for EAS would end on August 30, 2015 so we decided to convert to EMC SourceOne.
The Solution
“We used Archive360 to migrate our EAS archives into EMC SourceOne. We moved a total of 200GB of archive email. The first step was to extract the archive email from EAS and store into PST files. This work was completed by Archive360 in just a couple of days. The second step, which we performed using EMC SourceOne, was to ingest the PST files into the new archive.”
The Challenge
“There weren’t any challenges using Archive 2-Anywhere. The Archive360 product was easy to install and very intuitive to operate. The Archive360 PS Engineer installed Archive360 on a virtual machine and tested its performance on several mailboxes. I then took over the operation and completed the migration on the remaining mailboxes.“
The Benefits
“The benefit of using Archive 2-Anywhere is having all my archive email safely moved to the new on-premise archive. The migration was completed smoothly and in very little time which allowed for a smooth transition for my users. We are very happy to have our email archive on the new EMC SourceOne email archive.”
